“Filmmaking is an emotion, a dance in the moonlight”

Daniel Chamorro ha desarrollado una carrera multidisciplinar en el cine; aunque en los últimos tiempos se ha centrado más en la interpretación, no ha dejado de escribir, dirigir, componer música y producir cine.

Daniel ha sido galardonado con más de 150 premios nacionales e internacionales como cineasta. También ha logrado algunos premios como compositor de música como el Premio en LORCA Film Festival a mejor banda sonora, y el Premio FIMUCITÉ a mejor música de documental a nivel internacional.

Daniel Chamorro has had a multi-faceted career in filmmaking; encompassing acting, writing, directing, composing and producing.

Daniel has been awarded, throughout his career as an actor, writer, director, and producer with more than 150 International Prizes. Also has prizes as a music composer (LORCA Film Festival award, FIMUCITÉ award)

His films have been selected for screening in venues like Cartagena de Indias, Palm Springs Film Fest, Rhode Island, Hollyshorts Film Fest.

He has been described by Variety Magazine during the Cannes Festival as one of the best 10 best young directors in Spain.

Daniel has directed short films and documentaries in the UK, Spain, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Perú, and Germany. He has also directed music videos, a webseries, and commercials, collaborating with NGOs such as Manos Unidas.

Chamorro has been formed as an actor, director and producer in different schools, obtained a film degree from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He was selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus, where he was able to study under such luminary filmmakers as Win Wenders, Alan Parker and Walter Murch.

Daniel has been the creative force behind two film festivals (Hemoglozine and Atlantis Film Awards) and has been selected to participate in the jury’s of others, such as the Fescigu and the Huesca Film Festival.
